How do I order materials?

Order through the app available on Apple and Android phones. You can also order directly through supplier and have us pick it up!

Will I be contacted once my order is placed to review and receive an approximate ETA?

Yes, our customer success team will notify you via your preferred method of communication as soon as an ETA is available.

If I shop through TommyRun, where do you source materials from?

All materials purchased through our app are sourced from Home Depot and Lowes.

What happens if the material I order is out of stock at the store?

Our Customer Success Manager will reach out to you directly to notify you of an item being out of stock and provide you with a comparable substitute item with a description, picture, and price for your approval.

What suppliers does TommyRun pick-up orders from?

We currently pick-up materials from most suppliers in the metro Atlanta area.

Suppliers include: Floor & Decor, Traditions in Tile, Carolina Lumber, Randall Brothers, The Tile Shop, Daltile, The Home Center, Sherwin Williams, Cofer Brothers, PMC, BMC, J&K2 Cabinetry, etc.

What are your hours of operation?

At this time, TommyRun is open for delivery between 8 am and 4 pm on Monday-Friday for orders that purchased in-app. Orders placed using the “Pick up My Order” Service must be placed by 3:30. We do offer Saturday deliveries from 8 am to 12 pm.

Are there materials that TommyRun does not deliver?

We do not deliver appliances, furniture, lumber longer than 20ft., nor hazmat materials.

What if I need to return materials that I purchased through TommyRun?

A new pickup order needs to be placed on our app. The customer is also responsible for notifying the supplier of the return.

Where does TommyRun deliver?

TommyRun delivers within a 35-mile radius of metro Atlanta. If you’re unsure if your location is included download the app, create an account, and check your location on our map.

Does anyone have to be present at the delivery location?

We do not require our customers to be present at time of delivery.

When and how will I be charged for the service?

You will be charged when order only when it is out for delivery. Charges will be taken from card provided to us.

Can I use a line of credit or gift card from my favorite home improvement retailer to pay for my order?

We do not accept store-specific lines of credit or gift cards as forms of payment for TommyRun orders at this time. We are working on this functionality to serve our customers better and will announce when that feature is available.

Is there a markup on material cost if I shop the inventory through the app?

We don’t markup any of our prices! Our prices in the app are the same as Home Depot and Lowe’s.

Where did the name TommyRun come from, anyway?

We’re so glad you asked. As many contractors know, there are often runners on a construction crew whose sole job it is to run back and forth between the job site and wherever the supplies they need are sold – that might be your traditional, big-box home improvement retailers, it might be specialty suppliers, it could be anything. They do the running, but budgets don’t always allow for having runners on call every day. Plus, if whoever did the initial supply order did their job, there are no fill-in orders to run, so the runner is being paid for idle time – great for the runner, not so great for whoever’s footing the bill. One of our founders, BJ Kerr, once had a runner named Tommy on his crew who he could always count on to make runs quickly, efficiently, and accurately. Tommy, wherever you are, thank you.
